Welcome to Clovelly Charters

After 33 years as a skipper 2016 was Clive’s last year running trips to Lundy aboard the Jessica Hettie.
We would like to thank all of you who have sailed with us over the years and look forward to seeing friends old and new in Clovelly Pottery where Clive will continue to work.

On the 8th of September I joined a few others on a trip to Lundy . . . brilliant , if Spielberg ever needs to replace Russel Crowe as Master and Commander then he need look no further than Clive. Brilliant Skipper, and an eye opening awesome trip back . . . I even enjoyed getting soaked with spray . . . one of the best days out ever had … despite the frequent showers ! I wrote on one of those blog things with a slide show attached … the link is above. You don’t have to read it but you really should book a seat on the Jessica Hettie ! Richard

    Clive,

I just wanted to tell you how much we loved the experience, it was truly magical moment to be in the water with the seals, albeit a little cold! It will live long in the memory and a big thank you to both yourself and Simon for the freshly caught and cooked Pollock on the homeward journey!
Finally thank you again, for arranging the huge pod of dolphins that chased the Jessica Hettie toward Lundy – another truly amazing moment!

    Regards,

    Ian & Karen (Lambert)

    Clive,

Thank you, thank you thank you! We had an awesome time!

We cannot thank you enough for re-scheduling the trip for us from last year when everything went wrong for us in Scotland, it meant so much to us that you were so kind. We had someone say skippers don’t do that- we said you are diving with the wrong one then!

The seals were unbelievably friendly and playful. We will definitely give you some of the photos! The the fresh mackerel and potato wedges at lunch were an added bonus that will take some beating.

    Warmest Regards

    Pete and Fi
